Recently, the reporter learned from the Department of industry and information technology of Yunnan Province that in recent years, Yunnan has made great efforts to promote the optimization and adjustment of industrial structure, and the trend of industrial agglomeration has gradually emerged. At present, Yunnan Province has formed a production capacity of 300000 tons of monocrystalline silicon and 41gw chips. In the first 10 months of this year, it has produced 120000 tons of monocrystalline silicon, and Yunnan has become the world’s largest production base of green monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic materials, And is becoming the world’s largest green silicon processing integrated manufacturing base.

Yunnan becomes the largest production base of monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic materials in the world

According to the introduction, in 2018, the Yunnan provincial government issued the “Implementation Opinions on promoting the development of hydropower silicon material processing integration industry”, focusing on the construction of “silicon photovoltaic, silicon chemical industry, silicon electronics” industrial chain based on industrial silicon and green energy. A number of leading enterprises in the industry have been gradually distributed in Yunnan. The green silicon material processing integration industry is developing rapidly, and the advantages of green energy resources are gradually increasing Turn it into economic advantage. It is estimated that by 2023, Yunnan will have a production capacity of 150000 tons of polycrystalline silicon, 600000 tons of monocrystalline silicon, 110 gigawatts of crystalline silicon chips, 30 gigawatts of cell chips and photovoltaic modules, and 1.2 million tons of organic silicon.

At present, Baoshan, Chuxiong, Lijiang, Qujing, Zhaotong and other five green silicon material gathering areas have gradually become large-scale. The new material industry has gradually formed rare and precious metals and optoelectronic materials industry cluster with Kunming as the core, copper and titanium industry cluster with Kunming and Chuxiong as the center, tin industry cluster with Honghe Gejiu as the center, and liquid metal industry base with Qujing as the core.

In addition, Yunnan is speeding up the formation of “China Aluminum Valley”, and has successively introduced a number of leading enterprises such as Chinalco. The electrolytic aluminum production capacity has been built up to 3.37 million tons. After the completion of all the projects, the production capacity will be close to 8 million tons, accounting for nearly one fifth of the total electrolytic aluminum production capacity in China. A number of deep processing and industrial chain supporting projects are gathering rapidly. Yunnan will become one of the largest green aluminum production and manufacturing bases in the world .
