In order to meet the requirements of smart city construction and development, recently, Yinchuan municipal government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with State Grid Ningxia Electric Power Co., Ltd. to accelerate the construction of Yinchuan smart grid, and plans to build a smart grid with “safety, reliability, high quality and efficiency, green, low-carbon and intelligent interaction” by 2025.

It is understood that the two sides will jointly apply advanced technologies such as big data analysis, intelligent dispatching, distribution automation, new energy operation control and active distribution network to strengthen the intelligent construction of Yinchuan Power Grid.

In terms of promoting the development of new energy industry, Yinchuan actively explores a new mechanism for the market-oriented development of new energy, and promotes the effective connection between new energy and renewable energy power generation and other power sources and power grids. At the same time, strengthen grid connection services, integrate microgrid and smart grid technologies of advanced energy storage technology and information technology, improve system consumption capacity and energy utilization efficiency, and promote the rapid development of green and clean energy in Yinchuan city.

In addition, Yinchuan will vigorously promote the substitution of electric energy and develop electric heating according to local conditions. We will expand the breadth and depth of power substitution in key areas such as civil, industrial and commercial, construction and transportation, actively promote the development of coal to electricity and green transportation, increase investment in supporting facilities for power substitution, and guide new patterns of green, low-carbon, energy-saving and environmental protection energy consumption.

It is understood that the two sides will also accelerate the transformation and upgrading of Yinchuan’s new round of rural power grid, implement the rural re electrification project, and fully build a safe, reliable, strong structure, friendly and interactive modern rural power grid by 2020.
