Operation principle of carbon canister solenoid valve
The working principle of the carbon canister solenoid valve is that the carbon canister purification solenoid valve controls the purification of the carbon canister through the modulation of electric pulse width, that is, the ECU computer connects or disconnects the grounding circuit of the solenoid valve at a certain frequency according to different operating conditions of the engine. The ECU computer controls the vacuum of the purified carbon canister through the operation of a normally closed solenoid valve.
When the engine is shut down, due to the tightness of the oil tank and fuel consumption, the negative pressure inside the oil tank will be caused. Under the action of negative pressure, gasoline will volatilize oil vapor more easily than under normal pressure, and finally reach equilibrium with atmospheric pressure. After that, with the diffusion movement of oil and gas molecules in the oil tank, some oil and gas molecules will diffuse to the activated carbon tank along with the oil vapor pipeline of the oil tank. There, the granular activated carbon specially suitable for adsorbing oil and gas molecules made by special process will firmly lock the oil and gas molecules in the carbon tank to prevent diffusion into the atmosphere and cause air pollution. When the engine is started, the exhaust solenoid valve of the activated carbon canister will open. With the suction of the engine, the oil vapor previously locked in the canister will be sucked into the engine intake manifold as fuel. At this point, the working cycle of the activated carbon canister is completed until the engine is shut down again and the cycle is restarted.
