In the first half of this year, Gree appliances and customized home brand Sofia reached a strategic alliance; Yunmi, the Internet appliance brand of the whole house, announced the cooperation with home customization brands Fusenmei and ishley; Wanjiale and cabinet brand “I le home”.

According to Chen Xiaoping, CEO of yunmi, the advent of 5g era will make the development of smart appliances “even stronger” – the application of 5g technology and the integration of Internet of things and artificial intelligence will provide strong technical support for the release of the functions of smart home products and promote the continuous optimization of consumers’ experience of intelligent devices.

Liu buchen, an observer of the home appliance industry, believes that as China is entering the peak of a new round of upgrading of old home appliances, the huge market for renewal and upgrading will be mainly occupied by smart home appliances. According to his analysis, the industry needs to renew about 20 million units every year. It is expected that by 2020, the stock of waste household appliances will reach 137 million units, and the market capacity of household appliances will reach more than 100 billion yuan.

The growth potential of the smart home appliance market has not only attracted home appliance manufacturers, but also attracted more and more Internet companies, including not only giant enterprises such as Baidu, Alibaba and Huawei, but also mobile phone brands such as Xiaomi and Yijia.
