Enterprises can do various modes, but the interface must be consistent and universal. Not only is the LED epitaxial chip standard expected to be introduced in 2012, but with the introduction of national policies to promote the development of LED lighting applications, it is expected that the scale of China’s LED lighting market will be nearly US $100 billion in 2015.

China’s LED is still in the second echelon in the world

“In particular, the packaging process can reduce the cost, and there will be a mixture of good and bad people. When users use it, the lighting will be very bright in the first year, and then in the next few years, if the packaging is not good, the light will be dimmed by drawing the bottom chip.” Gu Yang, technical director of the energy industry department of Zhongda Diantong Co., Ltd., said in an interview with our reporter: “At present, LED manufacturers are divided into three fields. One is the production of upstream bottom chips. The other is the production of midstream chip packaging, which is packaged into various sizes and various watts. The third field is the downstream, that is, the shell of lamps. The reality in China is that there are many midstream and downstream enterprises.”

With regard to the current situation of the LED industry, Zhang Guoyi said: “the core technology of LED underlying chips can be divided into two echelons. The first echelon is Japan, the United States and Germany, whose level is 3-5 years ahead of ours, and the second echelon is China, Taiwan and South Korea. “There is only a 3-5-year gap in domestic industrialization technology and R & D level compared with foreign countries. The problem now is that there will always be a 3-5-year gap. If we can surpass the past, China will change from a large semiconductor country to a powerful country. If we can’t surpass the past, it is just that a large country can’t become a powerful country.”

The future development direction of LED is to focus on the field

Zhang Guoyi believes that there are several changes in LED in the next decade: first, there will be a “zero step technology” trend in equipment. At present, the equipment is mainly monopolized by two enterprises in the United States and Germany. However, there are 18 led enterprises supported by the national project. In the future, LED will become a fool technology. Second, each manufacturer has not done the division of labor. The extension extension only does the extension extension, and the chip only does the chip. However, the future development of LED will focus on a certain field according to the industrial division of labor. A good industrial division of labor will be conducive to the improvement of the overall technology. Third, in terms of product upgrading, improving efficiency and shortening service life are conducive to the development of the industry. Because users don’t want to change the style once and for all.

In the interview, many people in the industry are very concerned about the problem of LED overcapacity in the future. From the perspective of LED market, there was a downward trend in the first half of 2011, and there was obvious overcapacity in the second half of 2011, especially in the third quarter. “The reason for the surplus is that the application market has not kept up with the pace of industrialization, and some enterprises have limited production and holidays and stepped down to change production.” Zhang Guoyi said: “in the next step, there will be a trend of merger and integration in the LED industry. If semiconductor lighting can not enter thousands of households, the current production capacity is large. If it enters this area, the production capacity is not enough.”
