During the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak this year, the academic group of the National Key Laboratory of electronic thin films and integrated devices and the center of integrated circuits research, Professor X, LAB, has published academic papers. The research results in this paper are all based on the domestic 28nm CMOS RF technology, and the direct generation from digital baseband signal to millimeter wave modulation signal is completed.
It is understood that this paper proposes a new type of all digital broadband millimeter wave direct modulation all orthogonal transmitter chip, in which the digital millimeter wave power amplifier integrates 10 bit digital to analog converter (mm wave power DAC). The full digital broadband millimeter wave direct modulation full orthogonal transmitter chip has a bandwidth of 20-32ghz, a system efficiency of 22.1% (including DAC), a 64QAM / 256qam signal, a 500MHz modulation bandwidth and a single channel data rate of 3gb / s. The new all digital transmitter supports multiple 5g FR2 millimeter wave communication international standards, and relevant technologies have been deployed in 5g millimeter wave communication and other wireless transmission products.
