Although domestic R & D work has made some achievements, domestic enterprises still need to continuously improve their technical strength, especially to strengthen the research on core chips, materials, processes and other aspects of technology. Compared with foreign enterprises, domestic vehicle gas sensor enterprises also have deficiencies in market share and production scale. Jian Jiawen pointed out that at this stage, the production scale of related products of domestic enterprises is too small. “As the largest domestic manufacturer, the annual output of automotive gas sensors is only about 2 million. In contrast, the annual output of foreign enterprises can reach tens of millions, and the gap between domestic enterprises and foreign enterprises in terms of production scale is obvious. ” He said.
At present, the domestic vehicle gas sensors are mainly sold in the aftermarket, but the front is less. Jian Jiawen said that the technical gap in product precision, consistency and stability, and the lack of localization driving force of domestic automobile engine and vehicle enterprises are the main reasons for the difficulty in front loading and matching of products.
The advantages of foreign vehicle gas sensor enterprises are also reflected in the product management system. Li Daming told reporters that foreign automotive products have strict quality system requirements and high entry threshold, so domestic enterprises still need to strengthen product quality management.
Finding the right breakthrough, industry university research urgently needs linkage
How to achieve a breakthrough in the field of automotive gas sensors? Industry insiders have said that there are “breakthroughs” in raw materials, technologies, processes and policies.
In terms of core technology research and development, the relevant state departments need to give more support to it. Domestic enterprises still need to increase investment in production technology and intelligent manufacturing.
