There are four or five common frequency setting methods for frequency converters, and the frequency setting method of potentiometer is one of them. Therefore, the frequency can be given by adjusting the external potentiometer.

Potentiometers are used with inverters. The potentiometer is used as a sliding resistor, and the frequency converter is used as a voltmeter. Connect the frequency converter in parallel with the sliding resistor, and then connect the potentiometer to the 10V power supply, and then adjust the external potentiometer to achieve a voltage of 0 to 10V. changes between.




From the diagram of the external potentiometer of the inverter, it can be seen that there is 10V between the ACM of the inverter and 10V, which supplies power to the potentiometer. There is 0~10V input between ACM and AVI. It can be seen that ACM and AVI are equivalent to the negative and positive electrodes of the voltmeter, and then connected in parallel to the sliding resistor.




The above picture is a simplified diagram of the potentiometer, so the output 10V voltage of the inverter is connected to the potentiometer and the terminal 1 and 3, and the AVI is connected to the terminal 2.

There are many kinds of frequency command source settings, due to the external potentiometer, choose AVl analog input signal 0-10V. In addition, there are analog input signal 4-20mA, RS485/USB input control and so on. Then, the source of running command is set, there are digital operation input device, external terminal operation keyboard and other running command sources.

If the inverter adopts closed-loop control, such as the controlled variables such as pressure, temperature, liquid level, and flow rate of the production process, the signal needs to be converted into a standard current signal through the transmitter and transmitted to the inverter. The frequency setting can still be achieved by connecting an external potentiometer.
