Xiao Yaqing said that in recent years, China has successively issued more than 60 supporting policies and measures, and the development of new energy vehicle industry has achieved positive results, with substantial breakthroughs made in basic materials, basic parts, motors, electronic controls, batteries and vehicles. In 2020, the growth rate of new energy vehicles will reach 10.9%, showing a continuous growth trend.
At the same time, Xiao Yaqing pointed out that the development of new energy vehicles is still in a critical period of climbing. The market competition of new energy vehicles is fierce, and there are still many problems to be solved in terms of technology, quality and consumers’ feelings. The next step is to first improve the quality, further improve the standards, further strengthen the supervision of quality, and enterprises should constantly improve the manufacturing level. Second, to promote integration, the development of new energy vehicles also needs the integration of smart road, communication network, cloud technology, etc., and further integration through electrification and intelligent networking, so as to develop new functions to better meet the needs of consumers. Third, optimize the environment, improve charging, parking and other environmental protection measures, and improve the level of public transport electrification. Finally, opening up should be expanded.
It is understood that in 2020, the sales growth of Weilai, ideal and Xiaopeng will exceed 100%. By the end of the year, the sales volume of Wuling Hongguang miniev produced by SAIC GM Wuling surpassed that of Tesla, becoming the largest new energy vehicle in China.
