However, with the rising labor cost, it is the development trend for assembly manufacturers to increase the proportion of automation in the assembly line. “Automation, globalization and digitization represent the three major trends in global industrial development. As a new wave of revolution, the Internet of things has brought new applications in many scenarios, including in the industrial field. According to the prediction of arc, the Internet of things will deliver nearly 400 million dollars of commercial value to manufacturers in the next decade. “The Internet of things is a very important part of the realization of a digital factory. It can collect and upload the data generated by mechanical equipment and upload it to the cloud platform for data processing, so as to realize functions such as predictive maintenance of equipment.” Tong Liang said.

Taking the ZDT system developed by fanco as an example, the system is an industrial Internet of things application specially developed for fanaco robot products. It uses industrial Internet of things and big data technology to monitor various operation data and maintenance information of fanco robot, analyzes and processes the data, never finds out the possible fault of equipment, and makes predictive inspection and maintenance in advance 。 “For large-scale production lines, sudden failure and shutdown will bring double losses of time and cost to the enterprise, and the factory can make corresponding prevention and maintenance in advance after using the ZDT system, so as to realize the stability of the production process and achieve zero failure,” Tong said

If KUKA and fanako represent the future development trend of the global manufacturing industry, what wandelbots from Germany has done can be said to have taken a step forward faster, innovatively changing the way industrial robots are programmed. Dr. Zeng Limin, chief representative of wandelbots in China, said that at the present stage, industrial robot programming costs high and takes a long time, coupled with the shortage of talents, which urgently needs to be changed. The goal of wandelbots is to make it possible for all people to program robots. It is understood that more than 2 / 3 of the robot system costs come from software related parts, and wandelbots can increase the development speed of robots by 20 times and reduce the cost by 10 times.

However, with the appreciation of RMB, the reduction of export tariff, the increase of labor and raw material costs, Sino US trade friction and other factors, China’s manufacturing industry is facing great challenges.
