From May 9 to 10, the 6th China robot conference, sponsored by Zhejiang Provincial People’s government, was held in Yuyao, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. With the theme of “machine intelligence alliance, enabling all things”, this summit invited experts, scholars and outstanding entrepreneurs in the field of intelligent manufacturing and robotics at home and abroad, aiming to continuously promote the deep integration of robots, intelligent manufacturing and artificial intelligence, and promote the application and empowerment of robots in different industries.
In the “industrial robot ontology development forum” held on October 10, experts from academic circles and robot ecological enterprises at home and abroad gathered together to discuss the current development status and future trend of intelligent manufacturing from their own business.
Industry 4.0 is at the right time, and new technology and innovation have become the mainstream
Michael wombache, President of the operation of Germany KUKA group Changan Lais (Chongqing) robot intelligent equipment Co., Ltd., described the great changes in the current market: in recent years, the concepts of intelligent manufacturing and industry 4.0 have penetrated into various industries of the manufacturing industry, and the demand for industrial robots and automatic production has gradually increased. Taking the mobile phone manufacturing industry as an example, the process of mobile phone assembly usually has dozens of steps, and the process is complex and the process is long. However, with the rising labor cost, it is the development trend for assembly manufacturers to increase the proportion of automation in the assembly line. “Automation, globalization and digitization represent the three major trends in global industrial development. What KUKA is doing now is to promote higher productivity and flexibility, and use more advanced technologies to lead future production changes.” Michael wombache said.
Tong Liang, director of Technology Department of Shanghai Fanke robot Co., Ltd., elaborated intelligent manufacturing under the wave of Internet of things. As a new wave of revolution, the Internet of things has brought new applications in many scenarios, including in the industrial field. According to the prediction of arc, the Internet of things will deliver nearly 400 million dollars of commercial value to manufacturers in the next decade. “The Internet of things is a very important part of the realization of a digital factory. It can collect and upload the data generated by mechanical equipment and upload it to the cloud platform for data processing, so as to realize functions such as predictive maintenance of equipment.” Tong Liang said.
Taking the ZDT system developed by fanco as an example, the system is an industrial Internet of things application specially developed for fanaco robot products. It uses industrial Internet of things and big data technology to monitor various operation data and maintenance information of fanco robot, analyzes and processes the data, never finds out the possible fault of equipment, and makes predictive inspection and maintenance in advance 。 “For large-scale production lines, sudden failure and shutdown will bring double losses of time and cost to the enterprise, and the factory can make corresponding prevention and maintenance in advance after using the ZDT system, so as to realize the stability of the production process and achieve zero failure,” Tong said
If KUKA and fanako represent the future development trend of the global manufacturing industry, what wandelbots from Germany has done can be said to have taken a step forward faster, innovatively changing the way industrial robots are programmed. Dr. Zeng Limin, chief representative of wandelbots in China, said that at the present stage, industrial robot programming costs high and takes a long time, coupled with the shortage of talents, which urgently needs to be changed. The goal of wandelbots is to make it possible for all people to program robots. It is understood that more than 2 / 3 of the robot system costs come from software related parts, and wandelbots can increase the development speed of robots by 20 times and reduce the cost by 10 times.
In the face of difficulties, how do domestic robots face opportunities and challenges?
In the past ten years, with the development of globalization, “made in China” with high quality and low price has once penetrated into all parts of the world. However, with the appreciation of RMB, the reduction of export tariff, the increase of labor and raw material costs, Sino US trade friction and other factors, China’s manufacturing industry is facing great challenges.
As an enterprise whose main business is industrial robots, Han Fengtao, the co-founder of Luoshi (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., mainly explains the dilemma of China’s manufacturing industry from the perspective of “human”. Han Fengtao said that with the continuous decline of China’s birth rate, statistics show that there are nearly 100 million fewer people born in the ’00’s than in the’ 80’s, but there are about 100 million people in China’s manufacturing industry, including high-end scientific research talents. This data means that there will be fewer and fewer young people who are willing to enter factories in the future, and the manufacturing industry is facing a huge employment gap. The application of industrial robot is essential.
As we all know, in the fields of planned production such as automobile manufacturing and 3C manufacturing, the proportion of automation has been very high, and the application of industrial robots is relatively mature. However, under the premise of diversified manufacturing structure and complex industrial structure in China, the differentiation of robot industry is the same, which means that other fields will also have demand. How to embody the innovation of industrial robot? What are the specific manifestations of the differentiation of robot industry? “It is to find new functions in mature application fields and find new fields that have not used industrial robots in the past.” Han Fengtao said.
Taking Luoshi as an example, since its establishment in 2015, the company has been committed to product R & D and technological innovation of lightweight industrial robots, as well as providing collaborative industrial robot control systems, industrial robot products and intelligent manufacturing solutions. Relying on the core advantages of independent research and development, Luoshi has made major technical breakthroughs in automation application difficulties in 3C, auto parts, sewing and other industries. Meanwhile, it has continuously cultivated in the incremental market, solved the problems of grinding, gluing, sewing and other fields, expanded the application of industrial robots, and opened the exclusive market door of Luoshi robots.
When talking about how the development path of industrial robots is in line with the national conditions and sustainable development, Han Fengtao believes that industrial robots will always be divided into high, middle and low-end. In most cases, the price is not even the primary factor concerned by customers. The focus is not on low price, but on quality. Moreover, there is no inevitable relationship between domestic core components and domestic robots 。
In addition to Luoshi, senior executives and company representatives from Wuhan Cooper Technology Co., Ltd., alite robot, Shandong era new era robot, Shenzhen TEDA robot, Anhui Beitian robot, Huanyan automation equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Ningbo Haishen Robot Technology Co., Ltd. and other enterprise executives and company representatives elaborated on the company’s business status and related fields from their respective perspectives The achievements of the domain. It can be seen that domestic robots have made certain breakthroughs in both application scenarios and technical aspects, and will be able to achieve rapid development in the future.
