With the progress of the era of science and technology, our life has always been in the development chain of “label era”.

More practically speaking, from the domestic environment, more and more industry fields have begun to apply the new RFID tag technology and put it into daily application. But because of the knowledge of RFID products, many industries that have slightly involved have begun to doubt the advanced nature and necessity of RFID. From the frequency point of view, the current RFID tag technology and product categories are concentrated in high frequency (HF) and ultra high frequency (UHF) bands. The frequency of HF is stable at 13.56MHz, and the frequency of UHF is in the range of 856-928mhz. 02. “One thing, one code” is a great underestimation and contempt of RFID tags

Some people say that the biggest advantage of RFID tag is to provide absolute “one thing, one code”, which provides irrefutable proof for the anti-counterfeiting and backtracking of retail and logistics industry. For this point of view, my view is that “one thing, one code” may be a great underestimate and contempt for RFID tags. Two dimensional code, bar code, which is not one thing one code? In fact, there are three biggest values of RFID tags in retail and logistics. One is the storage classification of information, the other is the restrictions on reading, and the other is the indelibility of RFID tags.

Before explaining the storage classification, I need to add a premise. Under the rule of v109 version of class1gen2 (G2) protocol, RFID tags generally have four internal storage spaces of information, which are four independent storage blocks: reserved, EPC, TID and user. Reserved is the storage block to store killpassword and accesspassword. In general, it will not release the authority to any party to read. EPC, TID and user play a real role. What are their respective uses?

TID, the official name for the storage tag identification number, you can call it a more representative name “global unique code”. It is this code that provides the only proof of the existence of the RFID tag. It can not be written and modified after leaving the factory. If the tag is unique, the attached product must be unique. This is the principle of anti-counterfeiting. The role of EPC is to provide factory information or original information that can be written by the manufacturer. For example, if you buy a bright black P40 Huawei mobile phone made in Shenzhen in Shanghai, there may be a paragraph in its EPC: szbk40sh, which represents the information just now. In principle, EPC can only be written by the manufacturer, and it follows a record rule, which is decided by the manufacturer, so it provides an absolute technical basis for the original information record of the product. Look at user again. User is a more flexible user-defined number. It provides the possibility that the write permission can still be retained after the product leaves the factory. For manufacturers, because some products are related to transportation, or the confidentiality of product information, it needs more characters to carry the product data information. On the one hand, the storage capacity of EPC is limited, on the other hand, it cannot be changed after leaving the factory, so they will need to get the user number. It should be noted that not all RFID tags have user storage capacity In short, each RFID tag has four storage blocks, but according to the type and function of RFID tags, the user storage capacity of some tags is 0, that is, no data can be written. The separate use and associated use of these three types of memory provide absolute support for the mechanism and possibility of all retail anti-counterfeiting and logistics traceability at present and for a long time in the future.

03. The medical field is the black horse in the RFID tag application industry
