Today, the special video processing equipment of LED is gradually mature in this process. The quality of LED video processor directly affects the display effect of LED display screen.
Generally speaking, LED video processor is a special video processor for LED. The task it needs to complete, in short, is to transform the image signal from the outside (such as blue light DVD, computer, HD playback box, etc.) into the signal that the LED display can accept. In this process, the LED video processor generally needs to complete the following processes:
1、 Resolution specification conversion: Generally speaking, the signal resolution provided by image signal source (such as blue light DVD, computer, HD player box, etc.) has fixed specifications (refer to VESA, ITU, SMPTE and other standards), and the modular splicing display of LED display screen makes its resolution almost arbitrary. Video processor converts all kinds of signal resolution into the actual physical display resolution of LED display.
2、 Color space conversion: LED display has a wide color gamut, while most image signals have a relatively small color space (such as NTSC). In order to make LED display have good image display effect, color space conversion must be carried out.
3、 Bit depth improvement: at present, the gray level of LED display has been improved to 16 bits and 17 bits, but most of the input signal sources are only 8 bits. Therefore, with the advent of the era of high-definition display, the application of 10 bit or even 12 bit processing technology in video processor is the general trend.
5、 Image processing and enhancement technology: digital image processing technology has developed from 1920s to now, and a large number of patented technologies have emerged. For example, DCDI, ACC2, acm3d and a series of patented technologies of farodja laboratory, which won the Emmy Award. These technologies undoubtedly improve the visual effect of images.
