The lt3757 operates in the input voltage range of 2.9v to 40V and achieves efficiency of up to 96%. It is very suitable for industrial, automotive, medical and telecommunications applications. With programmable fixed or synchronous operating frequencies from 100kHz to 1MHz, designers can choose a variety of inductors and capacitors to optimize size, performance and cost. Fixed frequency and current mode control can achieve stable operation in a wide range of power supply and output voltage. Combined with the all ceramic capacitor design, smaller solution size is realized.
The lt3757 uses an internally regulated 7.2V power supply to drive an external n-channel MOSFET. Programmable soft start allows control of the output voltage on time. In addition, the lt3757 has programmable input undervoltage lockout with hysteresis and output overvoltage and overcurrent protection.
The lt3757 is packaged in heat-resistant enhanced msop-10 and 3mmx3mmdfn-10, both of which have extended and industrial temperature range versions from – 40 º C to 125 º C.
