RZ/V2L supports entry-level artificial intelligence (AI), while inheriting many powerful features of its predecessor RZ/V2M, including excellent energy efficiency and high-precision AI acceleration, is the pursuit of cost-effective artificial intelligence solution engineer ideal choice.
 
The Renesas RZ/V2L microprocessor, available from Mouser Electronics, features Renesas’ proprietary Dynamic Configurable Processor for AI (DRP-AI), which enables a variety of image processing uses, including color correction and noise reduction for input/output images. This property allows designers to use inexpensive camera modules without the need for external image signal processors to interpret sensor data, which is key to integrating AI into a variety of cost- and power-constrained Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Driving the RZ/V2L microprocessor is a 1.2 GHz dual-core Arm® Cortex®-A55 CPU with Arm Mali™-G31 3D graphics engine.
 
The RZ/V2L microprocessors are available in 15 mm × 15 mm or 21 mm × 21 mm BGA packages, both of which are pin-compatible with the Renesas RZ/G2L, allowing for easy upgrade and reuse without modifying the system configuration software.
