Shide Technology launched the radar scene simulator solution, which can provide full scene simulation for automobile manufacturers and test complex real scenes in the laboratory.
On December 16, 2021, Beijing, China – NYSE: keys launched a radar scene simulator, enabling automobile manufacturers to simulate and test complex real driving scenes in the laboratory, so as to speed up the overall test speed. In order to realize the advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) / automatic driving (AD) function, reliable radar sensors and algorithms are needed. The implementation of full scene simulation in the laboratory is very important for the development of these radar sensors and algorithms. The full scene simulator of Shide technology combines hundreds of micro radio frequency (RF) front ends to form a scalable simulation screen, which can present up to 512 targets, and the nearest distance can reach 1.5m.
Automobile manufacturers know that automatic driving algorithm is not only very complex to test, but also involves safety problems. The radar scene simulator of Dee technology uses the full scene rendering method to simulate the targets far away and near in the wide continuous field of view (FOV), so that customers can quickly test the integrated vehicle borne radar sensors in the automatic driving system by using extremely complex multi-target scenes.

This radar scene simulator is a component of the German technology automatic driving simulation (ADE) platform, which is jointly built by German technology, IPG automotive and nordsys through years of cooperation. The ade platform provides time synchronization input for on-board sensors and subsystems, such as global satellite navigation system (GNSS), Internet of vehicles (v2x), cameras and radar, by rendering predefined use scenarios, so as to train assisted driving (ADAS) and automatic driving (AD) software. With the open platform of Shide technology automatic driving simulation (ADE), automobile manufacturers and their partners will be able to focus on developing and testing ADAS / ad systems and algorithms, including sensor fusion and decision algorithms. The platform can also be integrated with commercial 3D models, hardware in the loop (HIL) systems and existing test and simulation environments.
