For the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games and 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Intel is focusing on developing 5g based VR, 3D and 360 degree content development platforms. In order to create an immersive experience, Intel signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation with the popular Qitian group.

Based on Intel Core, Xeon processors and other Intel products, Intel and popular Qitian will jointly develop VR / AR content solutions based on 5g technology to bring more immersive Olympic experience. The cooperation project mainly includes five aspects: developing 5g based VR / AR solutions. In order to realize the VR / AR experience based on 5g, the two sides will carry out research in the dynamic distribution architecture of rendering server, data compression and decoding based on different network conditions, mixed frame synchronization scheme of VR content, etc. at the same time, they will also do a lot of optimization work on the management side and client side.

Carry out VR / AR content design and production related to sports, competitive and sports events, and develop supporting facilities such as software, hardware and system integration. Develop VR seat, VR cube, VR magic box and other related hardware and software solutions to provide VR / AR experience and training assistance to Olympic athletes. Develop VR sports simulator and other related products to provide VR / AR experience and training assistance for Olympic athletes.

Planning, implementation and live promotion of VR / AR E-sports events. Based on the above Intel technologies, plan, implement and broadcast VR / AR E-sports events to create VR / AR theme park. Build a global cutting-edge VR / AR Sports Industry Center (Theme Park) in Huanzhen international science and technology sports base in Shougang Beijing park.
