The patent introduces that the intelligent eye mask is provided with a signal acquisition unit, a processing unit and an EEG electrode. The signal acquisition unit can detect the EEG signal corresponding to the EEG electrode, the wearer’s heart rate signal and head motion signal; The processing unit can detect epilepsy according to EEG signal, heart rate signal and head motion signal. From the Patent Description, it is not difficult to find that this will be an intelligent eye mask that can provide epilepsy monitoring. Huawei mentioned in the patent abstract that “the technical scheme provided in this application can realize the monitoring and management of epilepsy diseases and improve the accuracy of epilepsy detection results”. Health monitoring has become a new growth point of intelligent wearable devices. Taking smart watches as an example, Samsung launched the industry’s first wearable chip using 5nm EUV process – exynos w920 in 2021. It is equipped with two cortex-a55 cores and mali-g68 GPU for high-performance processing and graphics processing. In addition, it is internally integrated with LTE modem. In terms of space of smart watches, exynos w920 adopts fan out panel level packaging technology, integrating exynos w920, power management IC, lpddr4 and EMMC. At present, this chip has been installed on the galaxy watch4. In terms of health monitoring function, it is also equipped with human component analysis sensor. The main control chip of amazfit yuei gtr3 launched by amazfit huami in 2021 adopts NXP i.MX RT500 series and 28nm fd-soi process, which not only improves the main frequency performance of the processor, but also controls the power consumption. In addition, it also integrates a 2.5D GPU acceleration unit to support more peripherals. It is noteworthy that yuei gtr3 is the first smart watch equipped with Zepp OS. In the future, the health monitoring function will become a selling point, which will challenge the storage space and internal structure space of intelligent wearable devices. From the perspective of Samsung’s exynos w920 and NXP’s i.MX RT500, the processor is iterating towards supporting more peripherals and optimizing packaging technology. When the demand for health monitoring function of intelligent wearable devices is increasing, in addition to the iteration of chip technology, there is also the iteration of AI technology.
