In 2012, Beijing issued the “smart Beijing platform for action”, which covers the fields of population, transportation and food safety, and outlines a “smart picture”.
“Smart city construction has experienced several years of explosive growth. There are few model cases that can be copied and popularized, and the construction has encountered some confusion.” Zheng Shi, member of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese people’s Political Consultative Conference and deputy general manager of Beijing Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., from the Jiusan Society, said that at present, urban information and data cannot be effectively shared and interacted in smart city construction Problems such as rapid iteration of technology renewal and difficult prediction of future development scale.
He said that Beijing is a pioneer in the construction of smart city. It is suggested to improve the policy system and establish a unified standard system based on the whole industry and all fields of urban governance; Focus on the basic support ability to solve the effective translation and interaction between various data.

At present, the construction of Beijing smart city has developed from “Digital Beijing” to “smart Beijing”, and is moving towards the stage of “new smart Beijing” with the urban sub center as the pilot.
Chen Xiaoyan suggested to promote the integration of blockchain technology with artificial intelligence, Internet of things and other technologies, so as to promote the flat governance of government organizational structure and the transparency of service process, promote the construction of intelligent and trusted government, break down regional and departmental information islands, optimize Beijing’s business environment and enhance the core competitiveness of open development.
According to the work report of Beijing Municipal Government in 2020, Beijing will deeply implement the big data action plan this year, accelerate the construction and application of big data platform for comprehensive law enforcement of urban management, and use scientific and technological means such as artificial intelligence and Internet of things to improve the efficiency of urban fine management. At the same time, a government information resource sharing and business collaboration mechanism supported by blockchain technology will be established to carry out intelligent scenario applications such as “second approval” and “insensitive approval”, so as to realize the whole process online handling of more matters and the mobile terminal handling of 1000 matters.
