1. Full function display screen and intelligent display screen
LED display callers can be divided into two categories according to their working modes, one is called full function display screen, the other is called intelligent display screen. Both of them are assembled by 8 × 8 LED matrix module of international standard. The screen surface is identical and the basic display function is the same
① Intelligent display screen usually does not need to be connected to the upper computer. The display screen has a built-in CPU, which can save multiple pictures and run independently without the upper computer. Some screens also have clock chips, which can automatically display the date and time. When the display content needs to be modified, it can be modified by connecting the microcomputer with RS-232 interface. The full-function display screen must be connected to a microcomputer to work.
② The display modes of intelligent display screen are usually less, such as pop-up type, pull screen type, up roll type and down roll type. The display mode of full-function display screen is various. If professional software is used to make and play programs, there are infinite kinds of display modes.

2. Monochrome display
(1) Monochrome display
Standard 8 × 8 single color LED matrix module standard components are adopted, which are generally red, and can display various characters, data and two-dimensional graphics. The indoor monochrome display screen is economical and practical, but the color is monotonous.
(2) Color display screen
The standard 8 × 8 double base LED matrix module is used. Each pixel has two LEDs, red and green. When the two tubes are on at the same time, it will display $, so the dual primary color display screen can send out three colors: red, green and yellow, which can display all kinds of color text, data, animation, etc. In addition, it can also be connected with various data devices to display dynamic data and advertisements in real time, which has better information display effect. It is a widely used LED display screen at present.
(3) Color gray display screen
The standard 8 × 8 double base LED matrix module is adopted. Each pixel has three colors of red, yellow and green, and each basic color has 16 × 16 gray level or 2.56 × 256 gray level, or even more colors.
The color gray screen has rich levels and excellent performance. It can display photos, images, 3D graphics, animation and video images, and the performance effect is exquisite, rich and vivid.
3. Common density display and high density display
The density of the display screen is related to the pixel diameter. The smaller the pixel diameter, the higher the density of the display screen. For specific model selection, the closer the viewing distance, the higher the density of the display screen; the farther the viewing distance, the lower the density of the display screen. In the 8 × 8 standard LED matrix module of indoor display screen, φ 5mm and Mao are used. The diameter of 3.7mm is the most common.
The most common LED displays include single primary color screen, double primary color screen, three primary color screen, black and white screen, full-color indoor surface mounted display screen, led notebook display screen, mobile phone and various instrument display screens, as shown in the figure.
