The construction projects of Hainan pilot free trade zone (the first batch) held a centralized commencement and signing ceremony. The first batch of 100 projects started, with a total investment of 29.8 billion yuan; 41 centralized contracted projects with a total investment of 34.2 billion yuan. Among them, at the signing sub venue of Qionghai, pan Yanhong, vice mayor of Qionghai Municipal People’s government, and Lin Fangze, deputy general manager of Hainan Power Grid Corporation officially signed an investment framework agreement on the Boao Lecheng smart grid and low-carbon smart energy comprehensive demonstration zone project, marking the official implementation of the project.
It is understood that Hainan Power Grid Corporation will work with EDF, the leader of European energy market, to build Boao Lecheng smart grid and low-carbon smart energy comprehensive demonstration area project in Qionghai City. The project is planned to be located in Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism pilot area. The project is planned to invest 1.16 billion yuan and the construction period is six years. The project is committed to the comprehensive development and utilization of low-carbon smart energy and the establishment of a sustainable livable low-carbon ecological city with considerable benefits of energy conservation and emission reduction. It is estimated that after the implementation of the planned project in 2025, compared with the existing conventional independent air conditioning cooling system and electric heating system, it can reduce power consumption by 80 million kwh, peak power consumption by about 20 million kwh, water consumption by 6.3 million tons, carbon dioxide emission reduction by 95000 tons, and significant benefits of energy conservation and emission reduction.
