In order to implement the national requirements for building smart grid during the 13th Five Year Plan period, Guizhou Renhuai Power Supply Bureau has upgraded smart meters and installed centralized meter reading system equipment for low-voltage power users for power customers in the city since this year, laying a solid foundation for realizing networked and digital smart power consumption mode.
It is reported that the total number of electricity users in the network area of Renhuai Power Supply Bureau (Renhuai City) is 219328. Since the upgrading of smart meters and the installation of centralized meter reading system equipment for low-voltage power users in 2018, the installation of low-voltage centralized meter reading has been completed, covering 173504 households, with a coverage rate of 79.11%; The installation of smart meters covers 205708 households, with a coverage rate of 93.79%. It is expected to complete the upgrading of smart meters for power users and the installation of centralized meter reading system equipment for low-voltage power users by the end of July.
The cost of upgrading smart meters and supporting meter boxes and the equipment installation cost of centralized meter reading system for low-voltage power users shall be borne by the power supply bureau, and the customer will not pay any fee. The low-voltage power user centralized meter reading system has low power consumption, and the power supply is from the input circuit in front of the user’s meter, which will not increase the user’s power consumption. Smart meters can only be installed on site for use after passing the verification by the legal electric energy quantitative verification organization. The measurement accuracy and accuracy fully meet the relevant national technical standards.
