1060 5g devices have been announced worldwide, of which 704 are now on the market

London, UK – October 11, 2021 – GSA today confirmed that the number of 5g devices announced has exceeded 1000, reaching 1060, an increase of 21.4% in the last quarter alone. 66.4% of them are commercially available, which has increased by 26.4% in the past three months, and the number of available equipment has exceeded 700 to 704.

According to the new “5g equipment ecosystem – end of September 2021” report, 158 suppliers have announced or will launch 5g equipment, covering 22 different product forms. The equipment recorded by GSA includes more than 500 5g phones and 188 FWA CPE devices. Of the 1060 5g devices announced, 724 support C-band N78.

The new report also details that as of the end of September 2021, the GSA has determined:

*22 published product form.

*158 suppliers of 5g equipment that have announced availability or are about to launch.

*1060 announced devices (including regional variants, but excluding operator branded devices that are essentially rebinding versions of other mobile phones), including 704 understood to be commercially available:

  • 523 mobile phones (increased by 45 from August), of which at least 459 are now commercially available (increased by 35 within a month)
  • 188 FWA CPE equipment (indoor and outdoor), of which at least 89 are now commercially available
  • 138 module
  • 70 industrial / enterprise router / gateway / modem
  • 46 battery powered hot spots
  • 23 tablet models
  • 19 laptop (laptop)
  • 11 on board router / modem / hotspot
  • 8 USB terminal / dongle / modem
  • 34 other devices (including UAV, head mounted display, robot, TV, camera, femtocell / small cell, repeater, vehicle obus, card adapter / adapter, switch, vending machine and encoder)
  • 588 announced support for 5g independent devices in the band below 6GHz, of which 410 are commercially available
