In 2020, more than 140 5g networks have been deployed in the world, more than 250 million users have been developed, and 550 commercial terminals have been released. Gan bin pointed out that China, as a leading market, based on the world’s best network, 5g has maintained rapid development, and it is estimated that 5g users will exceed 500 million in 2021. The upgrade of network capability brings the upgrade of application and experience to consumers. The video business is developing towards high-definition and immersive experience, driving the rapid growth of 5gdou, which is inseparable from the 5g network support to ensure the experience anytime and anywhere.
According to Gan bin, 1 + n5g target network is to realize the re upgrading of minimalist sites, intelligent collaboration, multi-user extreme experience and flexible deployment of network capabilities on demand through a full range of product and solution innovation.
Huawei has rich experience in global business deployment, and has its own considerations for building 5g target network. At the communication meeting, Gan bin shared four discoveries and Thoughts on how to build a competitive 5g target network for the future full spectrum.
First, the starting point of 5g network in different markets is different, but the goal of building a wide pipeline infrastructure network with universal coverage is the same. Different from 3G and 4G, different operators choose TDD first or FDD first in 5g era. Facing the TDD first market, although tddm-mimo has been deployed on a large scale, Huawei will continue to upgrade its product specifications and energy efficiency through system level innovation to help customers reduce network OPEX. Facing the FDD first market, Huawei’s product capability is further upgraded along the direction of large bandwidth and multi antenna evolution, greatly increasing the cell capacity to 1.5 ~ 5 times of 4t4r network, and the product engineering specification is equivalent to tddm-mimo.
Second, in the 5g era, there are more frequency band combinations, and multi frequency and multi mode coexist for a long time. This will lead to a large number of equipment on the existing derrick, and the deployment space of 5g module is limited. In view of the extremely limited space in some markets, Huawei has realized the re upgrading of the minimalist site and continuously reduced the cost of site deployment through the integration of m-mimo and traditional antenna, sub-3g ultra wideband product innovation and one pole sub-6g full spectrum minimalist deployment. At the same time, through the Intelligent Collaborative re upgrading of spectrum, standard and energy saving, the user experience and energy efficiency of the whole network can be achieved.
Third, 5g users will grow explosively, and it is necessary to ensure the consistent experience of multiple users in the future. At present, the 5g network constructed by Huawei takes the lead in the third-party experience evaluation, but with the continuous improvement of user penetration, the 5g network will gradually enter the medium load or heavy load, so it is necessary to ensure the continuity of multi-user cross generation experience. Through algorithm innovation, Huawei maximizes the performance potential of m-mimo. In the scenario of high user density and high interference intensity, Huawei realizes the re upgrading of the ultimate multi-user experience and maximizes the network performance.

Compared with the traditional network, the connection of all kinds of things in the industry not only needs a universal coverage network to support the massive connection of IOT terminals, but also in the local scene, the business experience extends from a single speed dimension to multiple dimensions including uplink and downlink speed, end-to-end delay, positioning and so on.
