In the recent launch, SpaceX’s “dragon spacecraft” brought a surprise to the crew.

A “baby Yoda” was chosen as the “zero gravity indicator” for the mission to confirm that the spacecraft is in orbit and in microgravity.

When the “dragon spacecraft” separated from the Falcon 9 rocket, “baby Yoda” could be seen swinging happily around the cockpit, while the four astronauts were wearing seat belts and tied firmly to their seats.

To reduce its dependence on Russia, NASA has signed contracts with SpaceX and Boeing to build commercial aircraft to transport astronauts to and from the international space station.

Just before the launch of crew-1, SpaceX’s “dragon spacecraft” obtained a routine flight certificate to and from the international space station. Meanwhile, Boeing is still trying to successfully complete the first unmanned flight test of its “astronaut taxi” CST-100 starliner.
