3. Basic functions of the system

3.1 equipment management

In the Hotel VIP customer service system, RFID tags are used to identify the current location of customers, provide trigger signals to other application systems, and query the relevant information of customers. The normal operation of RFID equipment is a prerequisite for the automatic operation of other systems, and the operation status and failure of RFID equipment need the attention of hotel managers. In this system software, the RFID equipment management module, through the professional HMI interface, friendly and clear display of the running status of the RFID equipment. When the equipment fails or runs abnormally, the system software will send an alarm at the first time to inform the hotel management personnel to confirm and remove the fault in time, so as to ensure the safe and stable operation of the whole hotel service system.

Through the design and development of the communication interface with the RFID system, the system realizes the information exchange and management with the RFID hardware, and completes the information exchange with the upper application system.

4. Introduction of RFID Technology

RFID is the abbreviation of radio frequency identification, namely radio frequency identification technology. It is a non-contact automatic identification technology. Its basic principle is to realize the automatic identification of the identified object by using the characteristics of radio frequency signal and spatial coupling transmission.

The most basic RFID system consists of tag, reader and antenna. In practical application, the electronic tag is attached to the object to be identified, and the electronic tag carries the pre-determined data. The reader can read and recognize the electronic data stored in the electronic tag without contact, so as to achieve the purpose of automatic identification of objects. The reader sends a certain frequency of RF signal through the antenna. When the tag enters the magnetic field, it generates an induced current to obtain energy. It sends out its own coding and other information, which is read and decoded by the reader and then sent to the computer host for related processing.

The advantages of RFID technology are not limited to the line of sight, the recognition distance is far, the electronic tag is readable and writable, it can carry a lot of data, and it is difficult to forge and intelligent.

RFID technology has the following advantages:

Non contact identification, so there is no need for manual intervention to complete the identification work, which can realize automatic identification and is not easy to damage;

It can penetrate paper, wood, plastic, glass and other non-metallic or non transparent materials, and can carry out penetrating communication without accurate positioning identification information, and can identify labels beyond the visual range.

5. System composition and working principle

Smart hotel consists of three systems: VIP to store reminder, floor navigation and banquet / conference management.

Each subsystem is based on the basic structure of RFID as the information source. When the card information is identified, the card reader transmits the card information to the background through the network and compares it with the data in the database to obtain the relevant information of the corresponding guests or assets; Then through the number of the card reader to query in the database, we can get the location of the card when it is recognized, and then trigger the relevant service prompt information, or management operation prompt. The applications based on these different information are the different functions provided by each subsystem.

6. System function

6.1 VIP guidance system

For important VIP guests in the hotel, the hotel will send them a VIP card with RFID tag in advance. When the VIP guests enter the hotel or the parking lot by car, the system will automatically and quickly inform the corresponding hotel management and service personnel of the VIP guests’ arrival information through the RFID device at the entrance, so as to remind them to do the corresponding service well, so as to make the guests feel at home and respected It’s a great experience.

Main functions:

VIP Information Management: connect with Hotel VIP management system to obtain VIP information.

SMS and MMS reminder: SMS and MMS can be sent to different hotel guests according to VIP level.

Front desk computer automatic display: display the latest VIP information on the front desk computer, so that the service personnel can meet the guests.

VIP information record: automatically record the entry time and channel of VIP.

6.2 floor navigation system

When a guest stays in the hotel, after check-in, he or she carries the guest room card into the elevator. The RFID device automatically identifies and transmits the relevant information to the background through the network to obtain the relevant information of the guest. When the elevator arrives at the floor where he or she is staying and the guest walks out of the elevator, the arrow direction of the guest room will be displayed on the comprehensive LCD in the corridor, and the system will send a signal to the guest Room intelligent control system, before the guest enters the guest room, the display room door light flashes to prompt, until the guest guides to the guest room to terminate the above guidance effect.

Main functions:

Room card management: connect with the PMS system of the hotel to obtain the relevant information of the hotel guests.

Direction guidance: according to the identified guest information, the room number of the customer is displayed on the integrated LCD and the direction of the room is indicated by the arrow; the door light of the check-in room flashes to prompt the room position.

SMS reminder: when the guests enter the elevator, they will automatically send SMS to the floor attendant to prepare for reception.

6.3 banquet / conference management system

Through the installation of RFID reader and mobile RFID automatic check-in machine inside and outside the door or channel of banquet hall and multi-function hall, and the use of service personnel’s hand-held RFID reader, the RFID reader can automatically identify the RFID tag carried by the personnel entering the venue, obtain the corresponding personnel, time and location information of the RFID tag, and realize the automatic recording, including those who should attend the meeting At the same time, the system displays the statistical information through the information display screen. In addition, for the participants who have not arrived, the system will automatically remind the relevant personnel in the form of SMS.

Main functions:

Card management function: guest room card, special meeting card and banquet invitation card with electronic chip can be used.

Electronic attendance: record and count the participants of the meeting / banquet.

When participants sign in with room cards, conference cards or invitation cards containing electronic chips in mobile IDS, the mobile IDS screen will display the seats and directions.

Report statistics and analysis: after the meeting, the statistical report will be automatically issued and analyzed.

SMS reminder: send the information and quantity of the personnel not arrived to the meeting / Banquet organizer in the form of SMS.

7. Software architecture

The intelligent hotel system is a software platform for hotel industry, which integrates VIP customer service, floor navigation, intelligent conference management and other functions.

The system adopts C / S architecture, effectively unifies each subsystem under a platform through the core technology, and realizes the interconnection of each system information and control by the platform.
