Current situation of intelligent robot industry
Driven by the market demand, the application scope of intelligent robot is expanding to new areas. On the one hand, industrial robots are not only widely used in traditional automobile and metal processing industries, but also drive the new upsurge of 3C electronic industry. On the other hand, the function of service robots for home, education, medical and other fields is constantly enriched, and has been more widely used.
It is worth noting that the focus of the global intelligent robot market is shifting from Europe and the United States to the Asia Pacific region. Research by ABI research, a British consulting agency, shows that the Asia Pacific region will replace Europe as the world’s largest market in 2020, with its share rising from 19% in 2015 to 57%.
At the same time, China’s service robot market potential is rapidly releasing, maintaining a growth rate of more than 25% and 15% respectively. Under the influence of multiple factors such as the decline of demographic dividend, the increase of disposable income and Sino US trade friction, China is likely to become the world’s largest consumer market of intelligent robots in the future.
Analysis of intelligent robot industry
1. China’s robot cutting-edge technology has not yet achieved global leadership
Robot is the product of interdisciplinary and high-tech integration. As an industrial latecomer, China is relatively weak on the basis of industry. In the robot industry, the upstream core parts directly affect the performance of the robot, and account for more than 70% of the cost of the body, but at present our country still relies on imports of core parts. At the same time, China’s robot cutting-edge technology has not yet achieved global leadership, compared with foreign mature industrial robots, there is still a big gap, and the high-end market is significantly missing.
2. The key technology of service robot needs to be broken through, and the application direction of b-end market is not clear yet
At present, service robots are positioned as the basic and key equipment to improve the quality of human life in China, and some artificial intelligence technologies have reached the international leading level. However, from the perspective of market demand, the existing robot products can not meet the needs of users’ intelligence, such as human-computer interaction, compliance control, function bionics, intelligent control and so on Intelligent perception and other key technologies seriously restrict the development of service robots.
3. The high price of products and the difficulty in ensuring the functional security and information security lead to the doubt of service robot purchase
The number of domestic service robot enterprises that can be mass produced is small, because it is difficult to scale production, product cost is difficult to reduce, and the C-end market is very sensitive to product price, high price threshold makes it difficult for service robots to enter the era of mass consumption.
4. Lack of industry standards and intermingled good and bad products
The development of the robot industry must have a matching standard system. At present, in order to guide the healthy development of robot industry, more than 100 robot and related national standards have been published and are being formulated in China.
However, the domestic robot technology is evolving rapidly, the application scenarios are changing greatly, and the national standard formulation cycle is long, which usually takes 2-3 years. However, the existing standards are mainly industrial robots. The service robots with active market and special robots applied in specific fields usually can not find the corresponding standards as the basis for quality evaluation, and the standard formulation process obviously lags behind the market development status;
The existing robot standards in China are mainly based on compulsory safety certification, and lack of product functional certification, which makes the implementation of some local and enterprise standards not in place; At the same time, the industry standard punishment is not enough and the cost of bidding is not high, which directly leads to the uneven quality of domestic robot products.
China, as one of the largest robot markets in the world, takes the market scale of 1.05 billion in 2017 as the starting point, and develops rapidly under the multiple stimulation of domestic policies, technology and market demand. The average annual growth rate of intelligent robot market scale remains stable. Taking into account the overall market scale change and growth fluctuation, China will realize large-scale commercial use within ten years.
