Ps176 is a display port (DP) to HDMI 2.0 video interface converter, which is suitable for cable adapters, TV receivers, monitors and other applications requiring video protocol conversion. It will accept any display port input format, including DP 1.1a, dp1.2a, dp1.3, or dp1.4. It can output traditional HDMI and DVI video modes and HDMI 2.0 format. HDMI 2 is supported to the maximum allowable TMDs date rate of 6GB / s, so that 4K ultra-high image quality video can be played at the speed of 60 frames per second in the 4:4:4 video mode of 24 bits per second.

The ps176 can provide an integrated microprocessor for automatic configuration and microcode using an internal SPI ROM. SPI ROM can be updated in real time through display port auxiliary channel or I2C input device. System control can be input from I2C slave, and I2C master interface can be used for external EDID and extended functions. Both support hdco 1.4 and HDCP 2.2 content protection protocols and necessary HDCP regeneration functions, including HDCP repeater function and integrated HDCP receiving or transmitting function.
