However, in downstream industries, domestic DCS is still dominated by chemical and petrochemical industries, and DCS in electric energy is dominated by foreign brands.



The domestic brands of SCADA system account for more than half of the total, but there is still room for replacement. Especially when foreign brands start to acquire one after another to improve their competitiveness, grasping the hot applications of water treatment such as green energy, smart grid, South-to-North Water Transfer and smart water plant will be the opportunity for breakthrough.



In our user survey, 54.7% of users use industrial Ethernet, 31.3% use fieldbus, and less than 20% choose industrial wireless network. However, the growth rate of industrial wireless network is still considerable. It can be seen from the statistical data of HMS that although the proportion of industrial wireless network remains unchanged, the annual growth rate of 8% is close to that of industrial Ethernet.



In order to use, manage, maintain and control industrial equipment efficiently, it is necessary to take the network communication platform and technology that provide deterministic service quality as the support; The networking and intelligent upgrading of industrial manufacturing also put forward requirements for the network to provide deterministic quality of service. TSN time sensitive network has become a trend. The research on the integration of industrial network and TSN includes industry standard organizations related to Ethernet (CC link, EtherCAT, PROFINET) and domestic industrial Internet industry alliance.



The arrival of 5g has also created new opportunities for industrial wireless networks, but 5g networks have only experienced a wave of explosive growth and are still in the process of improvement. Despite the promotion of relevant policies, many factories are still waiting to see what impact 5g can bring to the next generation industrial communication network. It can also be seen from our survey report that among the emerging industrial control and communication solutions, 5g smart factory is the most attractive, accounting for 28%.



However, there are still some challenges in 5g industrial Internet. For example, in terms of reliability, 5g reliability cannot be stably maintained above the target of 99.9999%; In terms of improving communication capacity and efficiency, pilot projects are still carried out in some regions, and there is no large-scale expansion. The last and most important link is terminal support. At present, a small number of 5g supporting industrial gateway and router equipment have begun to be shipped, but there are still not many terminal equipment. In the future, the number of participating manufacturers will increase and the degree of product and technology perfection will be higher, which is bound to bring about a decline in costs and promote the popularization of terminals. In addition, the network security capability after 5g technology integration needs to be improved, and the supply chain security can not be fully controlled, especially 5g chips.
