According to aeronautics, sky, a Chilean ultra-low cost airline, recently signed a purchase agreement with Airbus for 10 a321xlr aircraft.

The main purpose of sky’s purchase of Airbus a321xlr is to expand its international airline network. At present, sky mainly operates domestic routes in Chile, but it also operates routes in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Peru and Uruguay.

Sky was founded in 2001 and began operation in June 2002. It focuses on ultra-low cost aviation. It is the first airline in Chile to adopt this business model. At present, sky is the second largest aviation company in Chile. It operates an all air passenger fleet composed of 23 A320 series aircraft.
