NVIDIA unveils AI Accelerated program

NVIDIA today announced a major update to its NVIDIA AI platform, a suite of software for advancing workloads such as speech, recommender systems, hyperscale inference, and more, adopted by global industry leaders including Amazon, Microsoft, Snap, and NTT Communications.

The company also announced the NVIDIA ® AI Accelerated program, which helps ensure the performance and reliability of AI applications developed by NVIDIA software and solutions partners. The program increases visibility into a variety of proven AI-accelerated applications, enabling enterprise customers to deploy on the NVIDIA AI platform with confidence. Adobe, Red Hat and VMware are among more than 100 partners participating in this launch.

Melexis pushes high-speed inductive motor position decoder

This high-speed position decoder minimizes the work required by the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and achieves optimum accuracy under extreme mechanical and electrical conditions. The MLX90510 is Melexis' first open market inductive sensor chip. This chip provides excellent accuracy of less than +/-0.36° at speeds up to 240,000 e-rpm. The MLX90510 is designed for high-speed sensing applications with high accuracy, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and safety requirements, mainly for electric motors (e-axle), electronic brake booster and electronic power steering applications.
