At present, the application of quantum dot technology in display products mainly includes photoluminescent quantum dot backlight technology and active electroluminescent quantum dot diode technology (amqled).
Different from photoluminescence quantum dot backlight technology, amqled display can make quantum dots emit light without backlight, which has the advantages of self illumination, wide color gamut, long life and so on, and has become the development direction of quantum dot display.

BOE’s 55 inch 4kamqled display product adopts electroluminescent quantum dot technology, with a resolution of 3840 × 2160, a color gamut of 119% NTSC, and a contrast ratio of 1000000:1. It has broad market space and application prospects in the field of large-scale display.
In the amqled field, BOE’s electroluminescent quantum dot technology is at the international leading level. As early as 2017, BOE launched a 5-inch, 14 inch amqled product prototype with full ink-jet printing process, which was highly praised by Sid bestinshow award.
