China Unicom displayed various landing scenes of 5g in its venue, including AR / VR in education, industry, security, industrial Internet of things, Internet, entertainment and so on. In terms of 5g + logistics, the combination of 5g + Ar + IOT can help visualize the material flow information, quickly determine the material location through AI + Ar, and Ar + PC / pad / mobile phone can monitor the whole process, which can greatly improve the efficiency of the logistics industry. In terms of security, face recognition can be faster with AR head display.
In addition, China Unicom also demonstrated the application schemes of 5g + new media industry, including 5g + UHD production and broadcasting, 5g + VR live broadcasting and 5g video acquisition, editing and transmission. In the booth of China Mobile, the 5g intelligent manufacturing scene is displayed with the action one of Yingchuang. In this scene, workers can use AR glasses or pad and other equipment to carry out ar inspection and maintenance, understand the operation of the machine, etc.
In the education scene, 5g smart teaching of China Mobile launched the magic mirror system, which was matched with the AR head display of realmax to show the teaching solution. In addition to the three major operators, ZTE also showed VR and AR hardware and content matched with 5g, including nreal, cloud games and so on. At China Mobile Migu global 5g immersive experience exhibition, China Mobile Migu and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications displayed 5g XR mobile museum. Cooperation with operators has become a trend
It can be seen that although AR and VR are not the protagonists at this MWC conference, they can be seen everywhere in the venues. As a 5g display tool, AR / VR has become a tool to help 5g land, combined with all walks of life and rooted.
It is worth mentioning that during the exhibition, all places with AR glasses are usually surrounded. Under the observation of VR gyro, VR equipment is mostly used to display scenes such as education and entertainment, while ar equipment has a wider range, mostly used in many industries such as industry, security, Internet of things, logistics and so on. Compared with VR, AR has a wider range of applications and is more popular at present. This is also reflected in the exhibition. The number and types of AR equipment exhibited by major exhibitors are more than VR equipment, and the landing scene is richer than VR.
At this stage, it is undoubtedly the best choice for AR / VR hardware manufacturers to cooperate with operators and mobile phone manufacturers. They have mature channels, resources and a large number of C-end users. Take South Korea as an example. South Korea is one of the first countries to promote 5g commercialization. VR gyro learned from South Korean telecom operator LG U +, there are 380000 5g subscribers in South Korea, including 170000 VR subscribers.

At the same time, many operators are also establishing their own XR content platforms. From the perspective of the development route of mobile phones, operators take the form of buying packages and giving away mobile phones for promotion. In terms of content, mobile games played an important role in the initial stage.
