Yu Hai said: “At this stage, the whole ar hardware industry chain is not perfect, and key devices such as screens and optical modules have not reached large-scale production capacity. “At present, the biggest bottleneck of AR technology is optics. That’s why AR can’t fall on the C-end at this stage. On the other hand, there are costs.”
Yu Hai continued “At present, the schemes of array optical waveguide and holographic optical waveguide have a series of problems, such as difficult manufacturing process, low yield, high cost and small field angle. The coaxial air guide scheme has relatively thick volume, low space utilization and small visibility. The AR content ecology has not yet established a cloud platform, which can effectively solve the current problem of lack of AR content

Many insiders believe that the development of AR is largely limited by the scarcity of AR content. With the continuous deepening and utilization of 5g technology, the viewing form with 2D as the standard visual interface is ushering in change. 5g + cloud makes it possible for the limited local computing power of AR head display at this stage to have a 3D viewing experience with a large amount of environmental identification, spatial map and other information. Reviewing the trends of AR manufacturers this year, it is not difficult to find that major ar hardware manufacturers are developing and establishing their own ar content ecology.

From experience economy to consumption economy, AR needs to realize product iteration by improving scene value

At this stage, does the AR hardware have the conditions for consumer? Yu Hai believes that it depends on consumers’ sense of experience.

We are not confident that consumers can use AR as they like using mobile phones, but this must be the right way from experience economy to consumer economy.
