In system integration, this is a very important problem, because the choice of recognition mode will directly affect the reading rate and convenience of the system.
The short-range manual swipe card mode is mainly aimed at the application of high-frequency and low-frequency reading devices (such as bus card, access card, etc.) in the past. Because the reading range is about 20cm away from the reader, the person wearing the RF card must come forward to the reader to be read. Although this method can guarantee 100% reading rate and low cost, because it needs to scan one by one, the school gate will be crowded in the peak period of school and after school, which is easy to cause safety accidents. At present, this way of working is almost completely eliminated.
Long distance passive identification mainly uses UHF (433M, 868m, 915m, etc.) reading equipment and passive RF card. Its reading range can reach about 10 meters, which can solve the problem of scanning one by one in short distance manual card swiping mode. Some well-designed devices can support up to 50 RF cards reading at the same time, which can greatly increase the speed of personnel, without queuing in and out of the school gate. But there are still many application problems in this way. First, the passive RF card can not be covered by the human body and metal objects, which requires that students can’t back to the reader antenna position when entering and leaving school, and the RF card can’t be close to the human body and placed in the schoolbag; second, the passive RF card can’t be placed with metal objects; third, personnel can’t go in and out with large flow. These defects cause that this technology was not used in the field of home school communication in the past.
