However, compared with other types of robot R & D camp, compound robots are still slightly weak. On the one hand, it is related to the fact that compound robots belong to emerging industries, on the other hand, it is also related to the difficulty of building compound robots and the strength of application popularization.

First of all, the research and development of hybrid robots is not as simple as it seems. Many people may think that the conformal robot is really a simple combination of AGV and manipulator, but it is not. One of the biggest difficulties in the research and development of hybrid robots is technology. The configuration of cooperative robots plus AGV requires the development enterprises to master both technologies, and how to make them work together and stably is also one of the difficulties to be overcome.

Both scale and sales profit can better support this product, but other industry applications are still in small-scale exploration.

Which is the core of AGV or cooperative arm?

It seems that there is not much difference between the use environment of composite robot and that of general AGV, but the original intention of using composite robot determines that it needs to be used in more complex scenes. In specific scenes, composite robot not only needs to complete the task of moving and picking materials, but also needs to join the production line to undertake the processing operation of specific types of work There are higher requirements for AGV environmental adaptability. Therefore, it may be inferred that enterprises with multiple navigation technology capabilities will have more advantages in the competition of AGV platform, and laser navigation and visual navigation will have more advantages than other navigation methods.

From the current structure of most composite robots, in order to maintain its operation accuracy, the manipulator should not be too heavy, too high or too large. In the collocation of manipulator, the light load cooperative robot can operate in a larger space with a smaller space, so it is more suitable to undertake the function of composite robot manipulator.

Composite robot includes two main modules: AGV and manipulator. Which of these two modules is the core of composite robot? When selecting the enterprises related to composite robot, should they prefer the enterprise’s AGV capability or manipulator capability? From the application environment of factory field operation and processing, some people in the industry said that they prefer the manipulator to be the core of the composite robot. Of course, from the current market of the so-called enterprises that have launched composite robots, most of them come from AGV enterprises. It can also be seen that the application attributes and entry points of AGV are more prominent.

In the future, with the further development of technology and the decline of product price, the application of AGV + cooperative robot will have a better momentum. Enterprises need to identify the differentiation, give full play to their own advantages, and do it precisely.
