Shanghai, China, June 15, 2022——Ames OSRAM (stock code of Swiss Stock Exchange: AMS), the world’s leading optical solution supplier, announced that it had reached an agreement with investronics, the global LED driving power supplier, to sell the European and Asian businesses of digital systems to investronics. Ames OSRAM will continue to focus on high-tech semiconductor business, as well as automotive, entertainment and industrial lighting business. This transaction marks another milestone in the implementation of Ames OSRAM’s strategy, which will focus on core technology fields such as light source, visualization and sensing, and divest non strategic core businesses. This transaction is subject to customary transaction constraints.
 
Ames OSRAM digital lighting systems’ business in Europe and Asia mainly develops lighting modules, software and power supply of connectable components related to traditional lighting and LED lighting – these are important components in professional lighting applications to realize the digitalization and intelligence of lighting solutions. By acquiring the European and Asian businesses of Ames OSRAM digital lighting systems, Infineon Electronics will be able to expand its regional and business portfolio.
