The newly added W5 Pavilion in CES Asia is used to display the achievements of start-ups, attracting more than 115 start-ups from different industries. Among them, the booth of Yunlei Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. attracted many visitors to stop and experience.
The visitors put their hands into a black box full of sensors, and the audio signal was continuously transmitted in the shape of three-dimensional dynamic images, which was clearly displayed on the computer screen. “This is a three-dimensional system with 1014 sensors that can collect cell data in real time. It is the first system in the world that uses AI technology to monitor cell sound,” Zhang longpeng, technical director of Yunlei technology, told reporters.
In 2004, James gimzewski, a famous nanotechnology expert at the University of California, Los Angeles, published an article in the journal Science, describing their discovery that cells move at different frequencies at different stages from generation to death. This movement is presented in the form of sound, and these frequencies represent a special meaning.
“The audible sound wave and AI technology are used to monitor the sound of cells in real time. The computer can also dynamically compare the changes of cell frequency through in-depth learning and give early warning reports on physical health.” Zhang longpeng of Yunlei technology told reporters that in the future, it can also judge whether cells become cancerous by understanding the frequency generated by cells in the process of decomposition and absorption of nutrients.
However, if you want to hear the sound of cells, there are two difficulties: first, you must be able to monitor extremely subtle sounds on a large scale; Second, the massive data collected must be processed in real time. Therefore, Yunlei technology has developed a dynamic monitoring system that can carry out all-round, multi-level and molecular level (0.2um).
“In order to accurately hear the weak sound of cells, the cell analyzer has a micro sound pickup and transmission device in each small unit, which is called cell stethoscope. When working, 1014 independent stethoscopes monitor synchronously, record the collected audio signals and transmit them to the computer. After high-speed operation and analysis by using g# language tools through the computer , the rendering is automatically generated and reproduced on the computer screen, “said Zhang longpeng, technical director.
“When thousands of” stethoscopes “collect cell data at 80mb / s and analyze 2TB of data, it usually requires supercomputer to calculate.” Zhang longpeng said that taking this amount of data as an example, it takes three years and six months to use the traditional data processing method, while Yunlei technology only needs one GPU to process it in one week.
“We only use ordinary computers. Through the patented technology g# language tool developed by ourselves, we have realized the ability to input and output completely on the GPU, and calculate and process data on the GPU. It not only saves time and cost, but also greatly reduces the operation and maintenance cost of supercomputer operation.” Zhang longpeng said.
“In the future, we will continue to improve our AI technology. At that time, this system may detect the morphology and activity of a single bacterium, monitor cell binding or division, and monitor the changes of physical properties of cells to judge whether cells are cancerous or attacked by viruses.” Zhang longpeng is full of confidence in the future development of cell monitor.
Zhen Jinzhong, President of Yunlei technology, said that this is the first time Yunlei technology has applied artificial intelligence high-speed computing data processing technology to the field of medical monitoring. Previously, Yunlei technology’s artificial intelligence algorithms and equations, as well as its g# language and high-speed computing capabilities are mainly widely used in geological disaster reduction, high-speed Railway detection, new material research and development and other fields. Recently, the cell monitoring system will compare the data with the traditional cell detection methods in practical application, which will provide timely and effective reference data for early physical health screening, and will also become a good assistant in the field of drug research and development and pathological cell research.
Because the system has the characteristics of non-contact, non radiation and three-dimensional imaging, it has unlimited broad prospects in the medical field of non radiation high-definition images, Zhang longpeng said.
With the continuous breakthrough of artificial intelligence technology, “artificial intelligence + medical” is becoming a new outlet in the medical field. In 2017, the State Council’s “development plan for a new generation of artificial intelligence” pointed out that the promotion and application of new models of artificial intelligence treatment, the establishment of a fast and accurate intelligent medical system, and the realization of intelligent image recognition, pathological typing and intelligent multidisciplinary consultation.
“Foreign countries focus on AI drug research and development, while China focuses on AI medical image with the development advantages of medical image big data and image recognition technology,” Yang Xiaokang, executive vice president of Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of Shanghai Jiaotong University, said in an interview with the media. At present, AI medical image has become the most mature field of the application combination of artificial intelligence and medical industry in China, with a large market scale Revenue and financing performance is outstanding.
According to the data released by the prospective industry research institute, the overall financing amount of China’s artificial intelligence medical industry increased from 2013 to 2018. As of the first three quarters of 2018, 39 domestic enterprises disclosed that they had completed financing, of which 18 enterprises disclosed the financing amount, totaling about 2.62 billion yuan; Compared with the same period in 2017, the number of enterprises that completed financing increased by 21.88% year-on-year, and the total scale of financing disclosed increased by 128.42% year-on-year.
