Santa Clara, California, March 7, 2022 – achronix semiconductor, a leader in the field of high-performance FPGA and embedded FPGA (efga) semiconductor intellectual property (IP), announced the appointment of Mr. Rick Cassidy as a member of achronix’s board of directors. At present, Mr. Cassidy is the senior vice president of TSMC and the CEO and President of TSMC Arizona. He has brought more than 30 years of semiconductor industry experience and strategic foundry operation expertise to the board of achronix.

Mr. Cassidy joined TSMC North America in 1997 as vice president of customer management, and was promoted to President and CEO of TSMC North America in 2005. In 2008, Cassidy was appointed as the vice president of TSMC, responsible for managing North America, and was promoted to senior vice president in 2014. He is also a member of the board of directors of the global semiconductor industry alliance (GSA).
